You're reading: Over half of Ukrainians never make trips abroad

Over half of Ukrainian have never made trips abroad, according to a November poll conducted by the Kyiv-based Razumkov Center posted on its website.

According to the survey, 55 percent of respondent said they have never been abroad. 16.3 percent of respondents go abroad once in 10 years and less often, 11.6 percent – once in five years and less often, 8.6 percent – once in two years and less often and 8.7 percent – once a year and more often.

Only 13.5 percent of respondents said that they have never visited other regions of Ukraine.

The poll was conducted on Nov. 18 through Nov. 23, 2016 in all regions of Ukraine, apart from Crimea and occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A total of 2,015 respondent aged 18 and elder were polled. The theoretical margin of error of the poll does not exceed 2.3 percent.
