You're reading: Here’s 53 percent of Ukraine’s new parliament, based on party lists

If exit polls hold showing President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Servant of the People party with a commanding victory of 43 percent on the party lists, where a little more than half of Ukraine’s parliament is chosen, that would translate into 126 seats. Only 225 members of parliament are elected on party lists; the other 199, for a total of 424, are chosen by voters from geographic districts. But those results won’t be known until much later.

Here are the top 120 members on Zelensky’s party list and what we know about them; here’s the party’s complete official list on the Central Election Commission website.

The pro-Kremlin Opposition Platform — For Life finished in second place, with 12.5 percent of the party vote, translating into 33 seats. In third place is ex-President Petro Poroshenko’s rebranded European Solidarity, with 8.8 percent according to exit polls, translating to 26 seats. Here are Poroshenko’s top 10 on the party list. Here is the party’s complete official list on the CEC website.

In fourth place is ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s Batkivschyna party, celebrating its 20th year since its formation after the collapse of ex-Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko’s Hromada party. Also making the cut, based on exit polls, is rock star Svyatoslav Vakarchuk’s Voice, or Holos in Ukrainian, party. His party looks to secure 1 percentage point higher than the minimum 5 percent threshold, gaining 18 seats.
