Due to heavy snows in highlands in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions and in the mountains in the Lviv region, there is a high threat of avalanche collapsing (Level 3) there on January 8, the State Service for Emergencies has said, quoting the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

“According to information from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, from January 8 to 9, due to heavy snows and snowstorms, there will be a high threat of avalanche collapsing (Level 3) in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions and in the mountains in the Lviv region,” the statement says.
