Militants on Saturday morning twice fired at the Hnutove checkpoint in Donetsk region, the work of the point was suspended, people were evacuated to shelters, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation has informed.

“Today, on May 5, 2018, at around 09:00 and 10:00 a.m., Russian terrorist forces twice fired at the Hnutove checkpoint on the Mariupol direction. There were many civilians there, who were evacuated to the shelters. As a result of the shelling, two cars were damaged, people were not injured,” according to a statement on Facebook.

The report says in order to ensure the safety of citizens and clarify the circumstances of the incident, the “red” regime was temporarily announced at Hnutove.

The head of the Donetsk regional military-civil administration, Pavlo Zhebrivsky, in turn, wrote on Facebook that firing was carried out by anti-tank guided missiles.
