Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk has announced the elimination of 439 illegal gas stations during three weeks, of which 111 were dismantled.

“Over just three weeks of operation of the SBU, the State Fiscal Service, law enforcement and regulatory authorities, 787 gas stations have already been checked, among them 439 illegal gas stations have ceased operations, 111 of them have been dismantled and 275.4 tonnes of fuel seized,” Honcharuk wrote on Facebook on Jan. 5.

He noted that the leadership of all regional state administrations in the country was involved in the work.

As reported, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk instructed the State Fiscal Service and law enforcement agencies to solve the problem of illegal fuel trafficking by January 9, 2020. On January 3, tax police announced the elimination of 264 illegal gas stations as part of the fight against the shadow fuel market.
