Deputy Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Yuriy Hrymchak expects that Russia will leave Donbas in 2018.

“I told and I am ready to confirm this today, that according to estimations, there are people who also believe that Russia will leave Donbas in 2018. Notably, something similar to sanctions that were signed and entered into force taken into account too in these calculations,” he said on the air of Channel 5, answering the question whether Russia will leave Donbas.

At the same time, the deputy minister believes that the term of the Russian Federation’s stay in Donbas has been extended because of the “blockade of the occupied territories” held in early 2017.

“The only thing is that we have suspicions that the last such fight for Ukraine will probably be in November – this will happen when (Russia) will try to activate everything it has in order to destabilize the situation in Ukraine in order not to leave (Donbas),” Hrymchak said.
