Coordinator of the iGov online portal and former IT director at PrivatBank (Dnipro) Dmytro Dubilet has expressed readiness to create the e-declaration system, including the servers, for the fraction of the cost the government plans to provide to improve the existing system.

“A kind of surrealism with these e-declarations… UAH 27 million has been provided for the creation of non-operating system [to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP)]. The government announced its readiness to send up to UAH 100 million for the system. I declare in public that the iGov team is ready to create the system with the budget of up to UAH 7 million (including all servers). Everything that would exceed this sum is at my expense,” he said.

Director General of De Novo, a leader of the Ukrainian cloud technologies market, Maskym Aheyev expressed perplex that NACP failed to solve the problem with own servers.

“We have all kind of cloud servers and DPC [data processing centers] in the country. There is the largest choice – from more expensive and cheaper ones, more reliable or simpler, fitting every taste. Specialists are champing at the bit, waiting for clients. One can get all these in no more than 24 hours,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

As reported, in October 2016, NACP asked the government to provide an additional UAH 27 million to buy servers.
