“My term is coming to an end, this is already a third term, (I’ve been working) as mayor for 13 years. I would really like to see younger, wiser, more talented, more successful people come after me, and I will support them as much as possible,” he said on TV channel ZIK on Wednesday evening.

At the same time, Sadovy expressed the conviction that his “task today is to work at the national level, because this is the only way I can help Lviv, and Odesa, and Kharkov, and Mykolaiv.”

He said that now up to 80% of cities are under the influence of criminals. “I see how the criminals want to get promoted in Lviv – I will not allow this,” Sadovy said.

“My big goal is to build a country where I want to live. We have a unique example of Lviv, which is being attacked, but this is an example of public administration,” the mayor added.
