You're reading: Infrastructure Ministry expects financing for building runways in regional airports

Ukraine’s Ministry of Infrastructure expects funds to be allocated for the construction of runways at Dnipro or Zaporizhia airport, as well as in Uzhgorod, Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan has said at a briefing in Kyiv.

“Now there is a joint statement of the four committees of the Verkhovna Rada, including the budget one, on supporting the initiative on the development of regional airports. I hope that at least funds for two airports will be found next year,” he said.

The minister said it could be the airports of Dnipro or Zaporizhia, as well as the airport in Zakarpattia, supposedly in Uzhgorod.

As reported, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine initiates the creation of the Aviation Fund, which will ensure the development of the country’s aviation industry.
