Investigators have restaged all steps of lawyer Iryna Nozdrovska from the place of work in Kyiv to the site where her body was found, and now they are studying CCTV camera records. Law enforcers call on witnesses who could go with Nozdrovska in a minibus to call to the police, First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Viacheslav Abroskin has said in an interview with Obozrevatel online publication posted on January 5.
He said that there are more than 30 CCTV cameras along the way of Nozdrovska’s movement, which are to record cars on the road, and as of today the police have not yet had access to all the cameras.
According to Abroskin, the approximate time of Nozdrovska’s death is the evening of December 29, but the exact time can only be determined after a comprehensive examination.
He said that the woman inflicted more than ten wounds when the body was discovered she was undressed – she was wearing only a bra.
“We can assume that the criminal got rid of possible traces so that we did not “get” the DNA of the killer. It is also possible that he wanted to enter into sexual relations with Iryna. We have not yet discovered the clothes of Nozdrovska,” the first deputy head of the National Police said.
He said that at the site where the body was detected at the bottom of the river divers found various knives, and as for the size of the blades, none of them is an instrument of crime.
“In the water we found one of Iryna’s mobile phone. We found a cover from her second phone – there, under the water (while there is no apparatus). We found clothes, but not Iryna’s – she was wearing a sheepskin coat that day,” Abroskin said.
He said that the police are working on adjacent territory.
In addition, Abroskin said that the former bridegroom of Nozdrovska (Vitaliy Serheyev) “had conflicts with Iryna.” According to him, the car of this man was temporarily seized, since there is a suggestion that the body could be taken out by car.
“The car was inspected with the use of all technical means and technical capabilities. Experts were involved in. At the moment, the examination is underway,” he said.
At the same time, the first deputy head of the National Police said that Serheyev is not a suspect.
Commenting on possible suspects, Abroskin said that the circle of communication between Nozdrovska and her liaisons are extensive. The police do not reject the version of the involvement of the convicted Dmytro Rososhansky, who knocked Iryna’s sister to death. “He is now in jail, and we are checking his possible involvement in the organization of the murder of Nozdrovska,” he said.
