Sanctions cannot be lifted from Russia unless Ukraine’s territorial integrity is restored, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said.
The Italian prime minister stated that at a meeting with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, Ukrainian President’s official website reported on Sept. 24.
“At the meeting we discussed the importance of carrying on the sanctions policy against Russia. The Italian prime minister said that sanctions could not be scrapped unless Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty are restored,” the statement said.
