Judge from Kharkiv’s economic court of appeals Oleksandr Pluzhnykov was found dead on Oct. 25 morning, his body was lying near the residential building where his apartment is located, a source in law-enforcement agencies told Interfax-Ukraine.

“At 06:00 a.m. he was still in bed. At 06:50 a.m., there was a report on him lying near the building. His slippers [remained] at the balcony,” the source said.

Pluzhnykov lived in a flat with his wife and child. Since July he had been on sick leave due to an injury to his back.

Meanwhile, the media liaison office of the National Police’s main department in Kharkiv region confirmed a report on Oct. 25 morning about a male who jumped out of the window of a flat on the sixth floor of a building at Garibaldi Street.

“Investigators from the local police station went to the site. They established the dead man’s identity. It was a 60-year-old occupant of the said building. He jumped out of the window of a flat on the sixth floor. The fact of the incident was added to the crime registry. The circumstances are being established,” the police said.

At the same time, the media liaison office said it had no information whether the dead man was a judge from Kharkiv’s economic court of appeals.
