You're reading: Kharkiv plans to raise urban electric transport fares

It is planned to discuss the approval of new fare for trams, trolleybuses and subway by the executive committee of the Kharkiv City Council.

The respective draft decisions have been posted in the unified city register of the Kharkiv City Council.

Tram and trolleybus fare could be increased to Hr 6 (now it is Hr 4), and subway fare to Hr 8 (now Hr 5). The decisions would be discussed before February 6, 2019.

Kharkiv Mayor Hennadiy Kernes at a meeting with journalists on December 26, 2018 said that in 2019, it is planned to increase urban electric transport fares. He did not specify the figures and the dates.

On March 28, 2018, the executive committee of the Kharkiv City Council increased urban electric transport fares by Hr 1, to Hr 4 in trams and trolleybuses and Hr 5 in subway.
