The Kyiv Solomyansky district court has put head of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Roman Mahuta under round-the-clock house arrest wearing electronic monitoring means, Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) Nazar Kholodnytsky reported.

“The Solomyansky district court satisfied the SAPO’s request and put head of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Roman Mahuta under round-the-clock house arrest wearing electronic monitoring means. The court also demanded the suspect give for storage his passport for travel abroad and other documents which make it possible to leave the country,” Kholodnytsky wrote on Facebook.

He stressed SAPO prosecutors and investigators from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau are taking all necessary measures to rapidly complete the pre-trial investigation, submit the proceedings to court and reimburse the state for the damage.

As reported, on Nov. 16 Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko signed suspicion against head of the Accounting Chamber Roman Mahuta for the illegal privatization of an apartment.
