You're reading: Khomchak reports Zelensky that ceasefire in Donbas continues for 71 day

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak at a meeting on Oct. 5 reported in detail to the President of Ukraine on the situation at the frontline and said that the 71st day of a full and comprehensive ceasefire continues in Donbas, which the parties generally observe.

According to the press service of the head of state, at the meeting he was also informed about the state of extinguishing fires in Luhansk region.

“Chairman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechotkin said that the situation with the elimination of fires worsened due to unfavorable weather conditions, mined areas and inability to use aviation due to bad weather. However, he reported that it was possible to prevent the destruction of ammunition depots by fire,” the message said.
