“The cases of Oleh Sentsov, Volodymyr Balukh, Uzeyir Abdullayev and more than 60 other Ukrainians are not isolated cases of abuses and violations of human rights, but a coherent and clearly coordinated policy of Moscow,” a message reads.

In addition, it is noted that during the meeting the parties also discussed the prospects for the work of the newly elected Commissioner to monitor the human rights situation in the annexed Crimea and Donbas. Klimkin stressed that it is the Commissioner’s mandate that is the most acceptable and effective for monitoring the observance of human rights in the occupied Crimea.
