Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has met with United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
“Pavlo Klimkin meeting U.S. counterpart Rex Tillerson on the sidelines of Ministerial Conference in Paris,” the Ukrainian foreign ministry said on Twitter on January 23.
The announcement was illustrated with pictures from the meeting.
Klimkin earlier announced plans to meet with Tillerson as well as many other foreign counterparts in Paris and during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
On January 23 Paris is hosting a meeting of representatives from 29 countries which intend to launch a new initiative aimed at investigating the use of chemical weapons. The French Foreign Ministry said the countries will support a number of projects to strengthen cooperation on countering the impunity of those using or developing chemical weapon.
