The foreign ministers of the Normandy Four’s countries (France, Germany, Ukraine, and Russia) will hold negotiations in the near future, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said in a program aired by the television channel ICTV.

“A Normandy [Four] meeting was due to take place in Munich at 6 p.m. on February 16 but it was delayed several times. We finally agreed in phone calls that it would be held in the near future,” Klimkin said.

He said he had managed to negotiate with all parties to the Normandy Four.

The foreign ministers could not meet for a number of reasons, Klimkin said. “German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel went to Berlin to greet a released Turkish journalist and was not able to come back in time. The French minister was unable to attend the meeting from the beginning,” he said.
