You're reading: Klimkin says French foreign minister won’t attend Normandy Four meeting in Munich

MUNICH – The meeting of the Normandy Four at the level of foreign ministers will be held in Munich on Feb.16, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin told journalists.

He specified that the French foreign minister will not be able to attend the meeting, but his representative will be present.

The main topics that will be discussed at the meeting are security, hostages swap, the humanitarian part.

“What happens in the occupied territories is a horror,” Klimkin said.

The Normandy Four which discusses the settlement of Donbas conflict includes Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia.

The previous meeting of the Normandy Four ministerial meeting was held on Feb. 18, 2017 “on the sidelines” of the last Munich Security Conference. Then, according to Lavrov, no progress was made on the situation in Donbas.
