You're reading: Klimkin starts three-day visit to Turkey

Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin will pay an official visit to Turkey from March 29 to March 31, 2018, within the framework of which the sixth meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group will be held under the chairmanship of Ukrainian and Turkish foreign ministers.

According to the official website of the Ukrainian foreign ministry, during the meeting the parties “will sum up the results of cooperation in 2017, determine the priorities and tasks for the current year, and form an agenda for negotiations at the high and highest levels, primarily in the political, military-political, military-technical, defense, energy, transport, scientific, technical, educational and other spheres.”

Klimkin has plans during the visit to hold meetings with the highest political leaders of Turkey, the Ukrainian community, to give interviews to leading Turkish media and to participate in the pre-premiere screening of the film ‘Cyborgs.’

As reported, earlier the visit of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin to New York on March 27-28 was canceled due to the state of health.

The Foreign Ministry’s press service reported that Klimkin would pay a working visit to New York on March 27-28 to participate in the open debate of the UN Security Council on joint actions to enhance the effectiveness of UN peacekeeping operations.
