Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has condemned the terrorist attack committed in Barcelona on August 17 and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

“Condemn in strongest terms brutal attack in Barcelona. Deepest condolences, speedy recovery to the injured. Terror has no chances against unity,” Klimkin wrote on his Twitter on August 17 night.

At least 13 people were killed and 100 injured on August 17 when a driver deliberately slammed a white van into crowds on Barcelona’s most popular street in what police confirmed was a terror attack.

The driver of the van after the running-down on pedestrians left his vehicle and escaped from the scene of the accident on foot. As the attack unfolded, two suspects took shelter in one of the nearby restaurants, barricading themselves against the terror as they watched scenes of chaos and panic continue. It is also reported that the police are searching for another van.
