Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has thanked the Ukrainian delegation for good teamwork at tripartite gas talks in Berlin on July 17.

“I’d like to thank my colleagues from Naftogaz Ukrainy, Andriy Kobolev and Yuriy Vitrenko, for coordinated and creative teamwork. It was great work in tandem,” he wrote on Twitter.

He also noted the importance of Ukraine’s introduction of similar energy regulations with Europe.

“We have agreed with the European Commission on the principles of applying European energy rules in Ukraine. We must become part of the common European market. This will be the best guarantee for us and for the EU: we proceed from joint positions,” he wrote.

As reported, Klimkin for the first time led a Ukrainian delegation at tripartite gas talks.

During the negotiations that took place in previous years, the Ukrainian delegation was headed by the country’s energy minister.
