Ukraine will continue its activities in the United Nations peacekeeping operations, despite the ongoing Russian aggression, Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.

“Ukraine attaches great importance to United Nations peacekeeping, given that it is one of the key objectives of the organization and an important tool for ensuring peace and long-term stability. Ukraine is among leading countries in Europe, which provides its peacekeeping contingent for the UN peacekeeping operations, and we are proud of this contribution to the important work of the Organization. Despite the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, we will continue to actively participate in UN peacekeeping operations,” he said at the UN Security Council meeting on Nov. 7.
