Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will pay a working visit to Italy on June 27-28, where he will hold talks with his Italian counterpart Angelino Alfano.

In Rome Klimkin will also meet with the leaders of the parliamentary factions and will speak at the meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

“The purpose of the visit is the activation of Ukrainian-Italian bilateral cooperation, in particular the discussion of the preparation of the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Italian Council on Economic, Industrial and Financial Cooperation under the chairmanship of the foreign ministers,” a message says.

The visit will also touch upon the issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, the issues of counteraction to Russian aggression, including the preservation of a unified position of the international community in the pressure on Moscow to withdraw Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.
