Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will pay an official visit to the Republic of Kenya on May 21-23 for the first time.

“The visit of Pavlo Klimkin to Kenya will be the first visit of the foreign minister to this country in the history of bilateral relations,” the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

During the visit, Klimkin will hold talks with Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Kenya Monica Juma, meet with the leaders of the parliament of Kenya, with executive director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program Maimunah Sharif and other officials of the country.

Klimkin will also take part in the events on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Kenya, as well as on the occasion of Africa Day.

In addition, the Ukrainian foreign minister will also take part in the official opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Mombasa, as well as give a press conference and a series of interviews with the leading Kenyan media.
