The Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said that due to the epidemiological situation, the format of the mass events on the Day of Kyiv will be changed. They will be adapted to the current quarantine requirements, the press service of Kyiv city state administration said.

“In connection with the epidemiological situation, the format of the mass events will be changed. There will be much fewer of them. And those that take place will be adapted to the current quarantine requirements. The festive program will begin on May 26 with a musical excursion along Andriyivsky Descent from the Revutsky Municipal Choir. The excursion will start from the monument to famous characters – Pronia Prokopivna and Svyryd Holokhvastov,” Klitschko said.

It is reported that the Peoples’ Friendship Arch and the Song Festival Grounds will also be the main locations of the festive events. The traditional charity Kyiv Chestnut Run and various sports competitions will also take place.
