Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze has held a meeting on preparing Ukraine-NATO exercises for protection of the electricity infrastructure of Ukraine.

“The issue of creating a system for protection of the critical infrastructure of Ukraine is one of the main priorities of our country. It was discussed at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on December 29 when it was decided to take immediate measures to protect critical infrastructure,” she said.

The official noted assistance in the creation of critical infrastructure protection is one of the areas of a comprehensive package of aid provided to Ukraine at the July NATO summit in Warsaw. Lithuania provides an active position and support to Ukraine in this sphere.

Klympush-Tsintsadze hopes for effective cooperation with the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, working in Vilnius. The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, which jointly with the center will hold the first conference on January 25-26, is responsible for coordination of related work.
