The pro-Russian media in Ukraine continue their information attack against the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of our country, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, has said.

“We can see the attack, another myth-making of both the EU and NATO. This is a cascade that flows from the Russian media space to us in Ukraine. I can see a serious threat in it,” she said in a program aired by the parliamentary television channel Rada on January 14.

She recalled that funds for information campaigns on European and Euro-Atlantic integration are allocated in the state budget of Ukraine for 2019. “It is about informing our citizens by government institutions about the real values and the present positive effect of the implementation of NATO standards or EU rules and procedures,” Klympush-Tsintsadze said.

The deputy prime minister said the holding of election campaigns in 2019 can rather seriously limit the speed of Ukraine’s movement toward European integration. On the other hand, the upcoming elections can stimulate politicians to report to Ukrainians about their work, she said.
