You're reading: Kuleba talks with Austrian foreign minister

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has held the first telephone conversation with the newly appointed Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Michael Linhart, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reported.

“Kuleba congratulated his Austrian colleague on his appointment and wished him success in his post. The heads of Ukrainian and Austrian diplomacy discussed the further development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Austria, Ukraine’s involvement in initiatives and projects in Central Europe,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Oct. 21.

The ministers paid special attention to the development of trade and attraction of Austrian investments to Ukraine, in particular in the field of energy.

Kuleba expressed gratitude to Austria for its continued support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, for its firm position on the continuation of the EU sanctions policy against the Russian Federation.

The foreign ministers also discussed further interaction in the format of the Crimea platform on the basis of the Joint Declaration of the participating countries of the inaugural summit in Kyiv.

Kuleba and Linhart exchanged invitations and mutually agreed to carry out working visits.
