Kuwaiti defense officials have shown interest in cooperating with Ukraine on joint production and sale of the An-178 cargo plane, First Deputy Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleh Hladkovsky has said following his visit to Kuwait.

“I am happy to say that Kuwaiti defense officials have expressed interest in our An-178 plane. The Ukrainian side is ready to begin talks on cooperation on the matter, both respect to sales and joint production,” Hladkovsky said during a NSDC briefing on November 14.

In a press release, the NSDC said Ukraine also demonstrated Ukraine’s unmanned aerial vehicle (Hr) Fantom-2, guided rocket launcher Skif and portable Korsar missile system, as well as meeting with high-ranking Kuwaiti defense officials.
