You're reading: Kyiv airport sees 66.7 percent rise in passenger flow in January-September

The Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) serviced 1.376 million passengers in January-September, and this was 66.7 percent more than in 2016. The airport’s press service reported that the number of passengers serviced by the airport on international flights totaled 1.315 million and domestic flights – 61,700.

The number of flights in January-September was 17,348 for arrival and departure, which is 29.4 percent more than in January-September 2016, including 14,246 international flights and 3,102 domestic flights.

The most popular international destinations in January-September were Minsk, Dubai, Budapest, Antalya, Ankara, Sharm el-Sheikh, Rome, while internal included Odesa, Zaporizhia, and Lviv.

In September 2017 the airport served 235,400 passengers, which is 89.5 percent more than in September 2016. The number of passengers served on international flights was 227,200, on domestic flights some 8,200 people.

The number of serviced flights in September was 2,702, and this was 34 percent more than in September 2016, including 2,230 international flights and 472 domestic flights.

Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport is located in the business center of the capital, 7 km from the city center. It is the second largest airport in Ukraine in terms of the number of flights and passenger traffic.
