You're reading: Kyiv appeals court mulls treason charges against former Crimea deputies

Kyiv’s appeals court will decide what courts will adjudicate former deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Crimea Republic, PGO spokeswoman Larysa Sarhan has said.

“On Tuesday and Wednesday, Kyiv’s appeals court designated the court that would adjudicate accusations regarding former deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Crimea Republic – Tseokov, Savchenko, Bakharev, Gafarov, Zaichenko, Iliasov, Ioffe, Klichnikov, Nakhlupin, Fiks, Shuvainykov, who are accused of violating Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason),” Sarhan wrote on her Facebook page.

According to Sarhan, the first court hearing was to take place in the courtroom located on 2-A Solomianska St.

Sarhan said more individuals would be added to the list (of Crimea deputies suspected of treason).
