You're reading: Kyiv authorities: Vaccination rates for teachers in Kyiv schools exceeded 80%

In all public schools in Kyiv, the rates of vaccination of teachers from coronavirus disease exceeded 80%, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Valentyn Mondrievsky said.

“During this week, all districts have qualitatively increased vaccination rates in schools,” the Mondrievsky press service of the Kyiv City State Administration was quoted as saying.

According to him, Holosiivsky, Dniprovsky and Sviatoshynsky districts became the leaders of the vaccination of pedagogical collective. Now they have reached figures of more than 85%.

The deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration said that there is no tendency to the acceleration of the coronavirus spread, and the real incidence among teachers in schools is now less than 0.1%, and 0.004% among students.

As reported, according to the amendments to Government Decree No. 1236, “yellow” and “green” COVID passports for Ukrainians are being introduced in Ukraine, which contain information on full or partial vaccination and according to which privileges will apply to all vaccinated people.

In the case of the introduction of a yellow level of epidemiological danger, educational institutions will operate with at least 80% of employees with “yellow” or “green” COVID certificates. Also, the restrictions of the “yellow” level of epidemiological danger will not apply if all participants (visitors) and at least 80% of organizers of mass events, employees of cinemas, theaters, museums or other cultural institutions, gyms, and swimming pools will have a “yellow” or “green” COVID -certificate.

In the case of the introduction of a “red” level of epidemiological safety, educational institutions will operate under the condition of the presence of a “green” COVID-certificate for 100% of employees.
