Ukraine and Moldova have agreed on readmission of persons and joint control at the state border.

The corresponding agreements between the governments of the two countries were signed in Chisinau on Oct.6 within the framework of a working trip of the Ukrainian governmental delegation led by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

“We’ve signed a joint control and readmission [agreements] today,” Groysman said at a press conference after a meeting with Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip.

Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Petro Tsyhykal has signed an agreement on joint control of persons, vehicles, goods and items on the joint border checkpoints through the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border.

This agreement is concluded for a period of five years with an automatic extension for the next five years, unless neither party informs the other party at least six months in advance of the intention to terminate the agreement.
