You're reading: Kyiv City Council bans retail sale of alcohol at night

Kyiv City Council has decided to ban the sale of alcohol through retail outlets at night, from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Some 77 members of the council voted for the decision.

The ban is applicable to legal entities that have a license for retail trade in alcohol, however, restaurants and other catering facilities are not subject to the ban.

At the same time, Kyiv City Council is mulling over a possible reduction in the duration of the ban until 08 a.m. in the morning in future.
