You're reading: Kyiv confirms disengagement completion in Zolote

Both sides have disengaged in Zolote, a village in the Luhansk region, eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian military reports.

“The disengagement stage has concluded on both sides (equivalently) at the site N2 near the populated center Zolote-4, Luhansk region. Representatives from the OSCE SMM [the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission] have completed verification of the process, including by using UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles],” the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in Donbas said on Facebook on Nov. 1 evening.

At the same time, the JFO press center said that in the event of a threat to life and health, the seizure of territories, or the penetration of enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups, military personnel of the JFO will give an adequate response opening fire on the enemy.
