You're reading: Kyiv demands to investigate anti-Ukrainian slogans during the march in Poland

Kyiv has asked the official Warsaw to investigate the incident with anti-Ukrainian slogans during the march in Przemysl on Dec.10, Andriy Deschytsia, the Ukrainian ambassador to the Republic of Poland has said to Ukrainian media.

Ukrinform has reported that during the annual march of “Przemysl and Lviv eagles”nationalistic organization in the city of Przemysl on Dec.10 some radicals shouted anti-Ukrainian slogans, such as “Ukrainians must die!” and “Lviv is the Polish city!”

“We condemn any acts and calls that lead to ethnic strife and we will turn to the Polish official structures to investigate the incident,” Deschytsia said.

The Ambassador added that the Ukrainian side expects the reaction in this regard not only from the Polish authorities but also from civil society organizations.

Ukraine condemns the actions and calls to action in Poland that lead to hostility on ethnic grounds.

“Such provocations in the statements of one person can destroy the legacy of official and public work of Poland and Ukraine,” the Ukrainian diplomat said.
