Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy plans to discuss prospects of Ukraine’s NATO membership with the Alliance’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during his visit to Kyiv on July 10, Parubiy has said.

“NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s visit to Kyiv is scheduled for July 10. [We] will speak about the prospects of Ukraine’s membership in NATO,” Parubiy said on Twitter on July 3 evening.

It was reported earlier with a reference to Oleksandr Vinnikov, the chief of the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine, that Stoltenberg and ambassadors of the NATO member countries in Brussels will visit Ukraine on July 9-10.

The visit is timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of distinctive partnership between NATO and Ukraine, Vinnikov said.
