You're reading: Kyiv Lions Club looks to help kids with cancer at Nov. 1 fundraiser

The Kyiv Lion’s Club is hosting a fundraiser at the Buddha Bar, 24 Khreshchatyk St., in Kyiv at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 to raise money for medicine to supply the children’s oncology department at Kyiv Regional Hospital at 1 Boggovutiskvska St.

The volunteer service organization has been helping the hospital for three years. This year, the members organized a charity art project at the St. Sophia national complex that included art therapy workshops as well as video and photo projects. The events are in partnership with the Art Therapy Association

The goal is to raise Hr 30,000. The entrance fee is Hr 250 while guests are encouraged to by Hr 100 lottery tickets to win donated prizes.
