Ukrainian and Belarusian presidents Petro Poroshenko and Alexander Lukashenko have given instructions to the relevant organizations to develop the possibility of exporting electricity from Ukraine to Belarus.

“We agreed on sectoral cooperation, we will have meetings of several working groups, we agreed on cooperation in the energy security industry and Belarus’s presence on the Ukrainian oil products market, the maintenance and heightening of this presence. We discussed and gave corresponding instructions on the possible export of Ukrainian electricity to Belarusian consumers,” Poroshenko said following talks with Lukashenko at his Pripyat residence in Gomel Region on April 26.
