You're reading: Kyiv: Moldovan parliament ratifies agreement with Ukraine on readmission

The Moldovan parliament has ratified the readmission agreement with Ukraine signed in October 2017, Head of the State Migration Service Maksym Sokoliuk said.

The document was ratified by the Moldovan parliament on Friday, December 15, and contains the principles and regulations for the readmission procedure to the territory of Ukraine and Moldova for people who violated the rules of entry and exit, the Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported on Saturday.

The agreement also defines the terms of these citizens’ stay in each of the two states.

The document outlines a mechanism for interaction between the parties in the implementation of the readmission procedure.

The readmission agreement was signed in Chisinau on October 6, 2017, by Moldovan Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan and Ukrainian Migration Service Head Maksym Sokoliuk.
