Kyiv patrol police and the National Guard have stepped up security in Kyiv to prevent attempts to destabilize the situation.
“Since today, additional reinforced patrols of the National Police and the National Guard will be engaged to ensure security of residents and visitors of Kyiv. Units of the patrol police, personnel of [local] police stations, the K-9 unit, servicemen of the National Guard, as well as ‘dialogue policing’ units will be involved in round-the-clock patrolling,” the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said on Facebook on Friday.
The reinforced patrols will counteract crimes and prevent attempts to destabilize the situation.
They are oriented towards preventing crimes, stopping offenses and responding to citizens’ reports.
