The Kyiv Post Employment Fair will bring together more than 40 top companies and hundreds of job seekers on March 31.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to listen to motivational speeches and career advice by experts and high-fliers.

The fair is a biannual recruiting event that has a 13-year experience of career matchmaking. This time, the fair will be held in the Ukrainian House at 2 Khreshchatyk St. from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Entry cost is Hr 25.

Polina Symonenko, a recruitment and development manager at French home improvement retailer Leroy Merlin, a regular participant in the event, says that the Kyiv Post Employment Fair is one of the most effective job fairs she knows.

“There were very interesting CVs and candidates last year,” she told the Kyiv Post.

This time, Leroy Merlin will be searching for candidates to fill at least 12 vacancies at both the office and stores.

Symonenko says that job fairs are also a great opportunity to promote their brand.

“It’s one of our goals to introduce candidates to the brand,” she said.

Independent management consultancy Civitta will join the event for the first time. Their accounts and administration manager Marina Bolshakova says that the company has a lot of ongoing projects and needs new employees.

“Many people know about (the Kyiv Post Employment Fair). We can attract numerous candidates,” she told the Kyiv Post.

Civitta is looking for both experienced specialists and students. They expect their candidates to be motivated, curious and active, have relevant education, good knowledge of English, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, as well as be capable of working in team and meeting deadlines.

American Chamber of Commerce looks forward to meeting young people to join the staff.

Their HR director Aniuta Semotiuk says that they appreciate beginners for their energy, ambitions and technology awareness.

“It is very important for us that young Ukrainians perceive us as a place to start a career at,” Semotiuk told the Kyiv Post.

The list of participating companies includes: Brain Source International, Ernst & Young, L’Oréal, ProCredit Bank and Support Your App. The fair will also attract European Business Association, United Nations Development Programme, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

Apart from that, attendees will be able to listen to seminars by experts.

Founding partners at financial technology law firm Brightman Dmytro Honcharenko and Krystyna Nyemchynova will talk about skills a modern lawyer needs to have.

“Ukrainian education doesn’t provide with all the necessary knowledge. Young people don’t understand the market requirements,” Nyemchynova told the Kyiv Post.

Two other seminars will be given by Maryna Fomenko, the CEO of Eterna Law, and Liliya Savych, HR Director at Leroy Merlin.

General Director at Red Bull Ukraine Tatyana Lukinyuk and lawmaker Aliona Shkrum will give motivational speeches.

Katya Gorchinskaya, the CEO of the Hromadske online news media, will moderate the panel discussion “Why I Chose Public Service?” with the government employees.
