The Ukrainian side in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk informed OSCE representative in TCG Martin Sajdik about the readiness to start repairing a bridge in the settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska from August 22, press secretary of Ukraine’s representative in the TCG, second president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, Darka Olifer, has said.

“The Ukrainian side informed the OSCE representative in the TCG Martin Sajdik about the fulfillment of the obligations undertaken to complete the clearance in the area of the bridge Stanytsia Luhanska and the readiness to begin repairing the bridge from the first half of the day on August 22, 2019,” Olifer wrote on her Facebook page in Wednesday.

At the same time, she said that before the start of reconstruction work on the bridge, the checkpoint of the illegal armed formations of certain areas of Luhansk region (CALR) should be dismantled.

“In the future, the dismantling of fortifications on both sides in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint should be simultaneous and mirror-like. It was agreed that all work on the bridge should be carried out in close coordination with the OSCE SMM,” Kuchma’s spokeswoman added.
