The Donbas militants attacked Ukrainian army positions 47 times over the past day, the army operation press center said on Facebook on Sunday.
According to the press service, most shooting incidents were seen in the Donetsk sector. The militants fired grenade launchers, machineguns and small arms in the area of Avdiyivka, Novhorodske, Novoselivka, Novoselivka Druha, Troyitske, Verkhnotoretske, Kamianka, Mayorsk and Zaitseve. “The hostiles fired 120mm and 82mm mortars on Avdiyivka, Novoselivka Druha, Verkhnotoretske, Kamianka, Mayorsk and Zaitseve,” the report said.
Seventeen attacks were seen in the Mariupol sector. The militants fired small arms, machineguns and grenade launchers on the vicinity of Pavlopil, Novotroyitske, Vodiane, Shyrokyne and Hnutove, the report said.
Ten attacks on Ukrainian army positions were observed in the Luhansk sector. The shooting incidents happened near Stanytsia Luhanska, Novo-Oleksandrivka and Novozvanivka, the report said.
