Russian-backed separatists attacked the Ukrainian Army positions in the war-torn parts of Donbas 48 times in the past day, the military press service has reported.
“In the past day, mortars and grenade launchers were used to shell Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, Shyrokyne, Hnutove, Vodiane, and Talakivka. Snipers attacked Maryinka, Novotroyitske and Pavlopil,” read the military press service message on Facebook.
Banned by Minsk Agreement 120mm and 82mm mortars, an infantry combat vehicle, grenade launchers and small arms were used to fire on Ukrainian positions in Avdiyivka, Zaitseve and Luhanske in the Donetsk sector.
Militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers along with small arms to shell Novozvanivka, Novo-Oleksandrivka, Krymske and Troitske in the Luhansk sector. A sniper was active in Novo-Oleksandrivka.
