Ukrainian army positions came under 50 attacks in the past 24 hours, the Ukraine’s military staff said on Facebook on Dec. 29 morning.
In the Mariupol sector, the Russia-baked separatist forces fired 120mm mortars on Maryinka and Vodiane, 82mm mortars on Krasnohorivka, Talakivka and Shyrokyne, and heavy machineguns and small arms on Talakivka, Pavlopil, Starohnativka, Shyrokyne, Novotroyitske and Maryinka, the staff said.
In the Donetsk sector, 120mm mortars and heavy machineguns fired on Ukrainian positions near Luhanske, grenade launchers were used against Mayorsk, and small arms were employed near Troyitske, Avdiyivka, Zaitseve and Novoselivka Druha. A clash occurred near Kruta Balka, the staff said.
In the Luhansk sector, the separatists fired infantry combat vehicle weapons on Balka Kosharna and small arms on Krymske, Stanytsia Luhanska and Malynove, it said.
