You're reading: Kyiv reports 52 attacks on its positions in Donbas in past 24 hours

The Russia-backed separatists have shelled positions of the Ukrainian military in Donbas 52 times over the past day, the Ukraine military press center wrote on its Facebook page on Feb. 15 morning.

The separatists fired on Kamyanka, Troyitske, Novoselivka Druha, Nevelske, Avdiyivka and Pisky from mortars. Small arms were used to fire on Zaitseve, Pisky, Opytne and Novhorodske. Infantry combat vehicle was used to attack Avdiyivka.

In the Mariupol sector the militants shelled Vodiane applying 120 mm mortars. The separatists used rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms for attacking Pavlopil, Chermalyk, Lebedynske, Hnutove and Shyrokyne. Shyrokyne and Vodiane were shelled by the enemy’s infantry combat vehicle. A sniper shelled Novotroyitske.

In the Luhansk sector the militants fired on Novo-Oleksandrivka and Novozvanivka from heavy machine guns and small arms.

“There are no losses among our troops there,” a report says.
