Kyiv’s district administrative court on Thursday fully upheld all claims of Ihor Kolomoisky against the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Deposit Guarantee Fund and the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, including the declaration of the agreement on the sale and purchase of shares in PrivatBank dated 2016 illegal, Speaker of Kyiv’s district administrative court Bohdan Sanin said at a briefing.

“This ruling upheld the claims, including against two decisions of the NBU, one government resolution, and a number of orders of the Deposit Guarantee Fund. These decisions concerned the nationalization of PrivatBank, in particular, the decision to declare it insolvent,” he said.

Sanin also said that the court session was held behind closed doors in connection with the provisions of the law on the observance of bank secrecy, therefore there is currently no access to the text of this ruling.

“Today, the heading and disposition of the court decision were approved… The judges have 10 days to prepare a full decision. This decision was made due to the fact that the defendants did not prove the legitimacy of classifying the bank as insolvent,” he said.
