MOSCOW – Moscow is expecting the Ukrainian authorities to provide security of Russian banks’ subsidiaries in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“Hopefully, every procedure applicable to this case in accordance with Ukrainian law will be used without any kind of politicization,” Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow, referring to the acts of vandalism against Sberbank offices in Ukraine.

“Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have duties obliging them to treat any mob law and any actions breaching the law and undermining property rights protected by Ukrainian law as unacceptable and intolerable,” he said.
